By the end of the education program, participants will:

• Be able to describe current uses for simulation in the acquisition and maintenance of surgical skills.
• Be able to describe current uses for simulation in medical competency assessments.
• Be able to discuss ways in which simulation has been used as a quality managment process for the reduction of medical risk.
• Have worked together to discuss issues and controversies of interest in the field of simulators for the assessment and enhancement of physicians in practice
• Have had the opportunity to collaborate and strengthen relationships with colleagues in the area of physician assessment and enhancement.
