By the end of the education program, participants will:

• Be able to describe the importance of phsycian assessment and enhancement to the Re-Entry to Practice processes in the United States and Canada.
• Have an understanding of the issues pertaining to physicians re-entering practice when their competence has not been in question.
• Be able to discuss the definition of scope of practice and issues related to assessing physicians who want to change their scope of practice.
• Have worked together to tackle problems in assessing physicians who want to re-enter practice or change their scope of practice.
• Have had the opportunity to collaborate and strengthen relationships with colleagues in the area of physician assessment and enhancement.
