| Why? |
By the end of the education program, participants will:
- Have had an opportunity to learn about and discuss competence initiateives being undertaken by other organizations and entities, including:
- Maintenance of Licensure (MOL)
- Maintenance of Certification (MOC)
- The AMA/AAP Physician Re-Entry Program
- Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS)
- KSTAR Texas Hospital Peer Review System and Process
- Continuing Professional Development from Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Perspective
- Have had the opportunity to collaborate and strengthen relationships with colleagues in the area of physicians assessment and enhancement
- Have had the opportunity to contemplate the role of CPE within the broader contect of physician competence, and participate in exercises that invite cooperation between individuals and organizations within CPE as well as those outside of CPE
- Learn about research and other projects being undertaken by members of CME
- Have seen a demonstration of the updated CPE web site and the web site based CPE journal club
