| Why? |
By the end of the education program, participants will have had the opportunity:
- to learn about and discuss topics that pertain to international best practices in physician assessment and remediation, including:
- The National Clinical Assessment Service (NCAS) Eight Year Report - an update of the experiences and outcomes to date in the United Kingdom
- Current thoughts and evidence as it applies to the best approaches to physician assessment
- Evidence on best practices and challenges in physician feedback and remediation
- A review of case-based discussion/chart-stimulated recall
- Strategies and challenges of direct observation of physicians in practice
- to collaborate and strengthen relationships with colleagues in the areas of phsycian assessment and remediation.
- to learn about research and other projects being undertaken by members of IPAC and CPE by poster presentation and a formal research forum.
- to observe and participate in brief (and fun) presentations called Two Slides, Two Minutes, Two Questions, where projects and pearls of wisdom are concisely presented - with a time clock running.
