As a result of participation in this activity, learners will be able to:
- Describe population demographics for the general public and physicians with regard to aging
- List changes associated with the normal aging process
- Classify neuropsychological changes in the aging physician
- Examine the effects of aging on clinical performance
- Describe assessment processes used in the Provinces of Quebec and Ontario to evaluate the clinical performance of aging physicians
- Compare societal well being versus individual physician autonomy with respect to assessment of aging physicians
- Analyze potential assessment batteries for the aging physician
- Appraise research related to physician assessment
