Why?

As a result of participation in this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Describe population demographics for the general public and physicians with regard to aging 
  • List changes associated with the normal aging process 
  • Classify neuropsychological changes in the aging physician
  • Examine the effects of aging on clinical performance
  • Describe assessment processes used in the Provinces of Quebec and Ontario to evaluate the clinical performance of aging physicians 
  • Compare societal well being versus individual physician autonomy with respect to assessment of aging physicians 
  • Analyze potential assessment batteries for the aging physician
  • Appraise research related to physician assessment
