Criteria for Emeritus and Honarary Membership

According to the CPE Bylaws, Emeritus Membership is open to any person who is retired and was a Coalition member for ten years prior to retirement. Emeritus members may take an active part in the affairs of the Coalition, including serving on committees.  They are exempt from annual dues.

Honorary Membership may be conferred by the Board on any person who has made a significant contribution to the Coalition. Such members shall be non-voting members and be exempt from annual dues. Such members may not be eligible to hold office.

Those individuals seeking or nominating an individual for Emeritus membership must submit a letter to the Chair of the Board indicating the length of service to CPE, explaining the contribution to the organization, and defining the retired status (i.e. those individuals not receiving income, including consultation fees, in their primary profession).

The Board will make determinations of Emeritus and Honorary memberships annually.
