Categories of CPE Membership

  • Organizational Membership is open to programs that  provide in-depth, comprehensive assessments of individual physicians with or with/out remediation services. An organization shall become an active member upon supplying information (see attached document) and paying such dues as the Board may set from time to time.  Each organizational member shall be entitled to designate up to three individuals to be active members within this category. Each active member will be eligible for one vote.  Such membership is not transferable.
  • General Membership is open to any person, who has an interest in the field of physician enhancement. A person shall become a general member upon supplying information and paying such dues as the Board may set from time to time. All general members shall be eligible to vote and to hold office. Such membership is not transferable.

  • Influence policy and direction in the field of physicians assessment and remedial education; participate in international dialogue
  • Share information and participate in collegial discourse
  • Access to opportunities for continued professional development
  • Participate in or learn about research in the field
  • Support the advancement of the field of assessment and remedial education
  • Ability to serve on CPE committees
  • Discount for attendance at CPE meetings
  • Access to list of CPE members (the full list of CPE membership is not listed on the public website)
  • Access to members-only section of CPE website that includes resources for the field of physician assessment and remedial education
  • Vote for board representatives in respective category of membership

     Additional Benefits for Organizational Members

  • Since members vote for Board candidates in their own category, the organizational members have more influence on the Board and therefore on the field of assessment and remedial education
  • Organizational members have a program description, contact information, and a web link on the public website as meeting criteria established by CPE
  • Each organizational member is entitled to designate up to three individuals to be active members within this category
